Broadway Singing with Lindsey N.

I am a professional opera singer and voice teacher, based in Seattle, WA. I received my Bachelor's of Music from The Juilliard School and my Master's of Music from Mannes The New School for Music both located in New York City. I have performed in theaters all over the U.S. Most recently I performed with the Seattle Gilbert and Sullivan Society in their production of Patience. Last summer I was happy to be an artist with the Princeton Festival in New Jersey where I covered the role of Marzelline in Beethoven's Fidelio. My vocal instruction is centered around proper breath control and knowing how to use your body as an instrument. Students will learn how to release tension, focus their sound, support the core of their sound and sing with confidence. Learning healthy vocal technique is key to pursuing a long-lasting singing career. I also teach musical theory of varying levels, basic foreign language diction and dramatic interpretation to my students. While I specialize in classical music, I also enjoy teaching musical theater as well. Good vocal technique can and should be applied to any kind of singing!
