I was in a band for 9 years playing the clarinet first and then the Bassoon. I went on a trip to several countries in Europe playing the Bassoon in the Ambassadors of Music in Arizona program. I also qualified two years to be part of the Regional Band program in Arizona. I was part of the School Jazz band for 2 years playing the tenor saxophone. On top of this, I was taking piano lessons for 11 years throughout all that time. I am self-taught at the ukulele and guitar because I understand music theory which allows for understanding all musical intruments. I am interested in teaching kids about the universal "language" we all know and love: MUSIC! I love all styles of music, I want to teach anything my student really wants to learn! But I will want to include theory and note reading which is the foundation of this "language."
