Hello, Everyone! Wishing you a Happy Holidays!!! My name is Leslie. I come from a strong musical background of various instruments, lessons, and family support. I began playing piano when I was five years old, which continued throughout high school and my first college experience. In addition to piano, I was trained in voice and French horn, beginning in high school, and recently started learning guitar. I began teaching piano in 2000 and found it to be a great experience. I thoroughly enjoy being able to show others the joys of not only playing the piano, but conquering an instrument that is often seen as intimidating! I have had several students over the past 15 years, and I would be glad to provide references if you would like. I received a Bachelor's in Music Business/Business Administration from Millikin University, Decatur, IL in 2006. I realized that music business was not the profession for me, and recently chose to go back to school. I am now currently working on my Bachelor's in Music Therapy at Maryville University here in St. Louis. I am so excited to embark on this new career path! Music is my whole life, and using it as a tool to teach not only musical goals but non-musical goals as well seems like a dream come true! Music is one of the most important things in my life. I fully stand behind the notion that we need it everyday to survive. It is an honor to teach young minds the importance and appreciation that I have for the process, the technique, the musicality, and the emotional support involved in playing.
