I started playing music when I was 7 years old. I started taking traditional piano and saxophone lessons shortly after.
There are two instruments I don't love to play anymore...can you guess what they are?
I wanted to learn to play Meat Loaf on the piano, and shred some blues on the sax, but was never encouraged to do so. When I turned 11, I put down the sax and got up from the bench. I decided to change it up and play guitar. For nearly 20 years, there hasn't been a day that I haven't played my guitar.
I've been teaching on and off since I was 16, and have taught guitar/uke/and bass full-time since March of 2015.
I like to use the method I call, "The Spoon Full of Sugar Approach." I'm a firm believer that if you're doing something you love on your instrument, you'll pick it up more often. So we'll learn what you're interested in, but also learn what makes music work.
I'm excited to join your musical journey with you!

How's it going!?
My name is Les and I've been playing guitar for 20+ years. I eat, sleep, and breathe guitar (sometimes pizza).
From playing shows and guitar competitions to recording in my home studio, there isn't a day that goes by where I haven't picked up my guitar.
My goal in life is to spread the joy of music to as many people as possible.
I currently teach Guitar, Bass, and Ukulele at the Wichita Music Academy
