About Leota T.

I'm a working actor, singer, and teacher in Los Angeles. I have a bachelor's degree in Theater from The University of California, Irvine, with an emphasis in Musical Theater.
While film is the focus in the city of angels, my passion for musical theater is still alive! I've performed in theater and musical theater shows across the globe, including Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. I have also trained in music improv at UCB in Los Angeles.
No matter the level, I can teach any student to be more expressive and comfortable with their voice. Each week we will work on techniques to improve voice placement, as well as proper breathing so you don't hurt your voice even when you're sick! Whether you want to improve your high range into the classical soprano or coloratura or find your big belt, I will get you there in a healthy and safe way! (Don't worry Gentlemen, I can get you to sing high too!).
I work with students of all ages, backgrounds and levels. Many of my students are actors with no vocal background, and some of my students are classical or operatic singers who want to work on acting and expressing themselves musically for a better overall performance. Whatever your goals are, we will accomplish them!

Leota knows the tricks to enhance your vocal technique to it's fullest...less than a minute into our first session she was already making me sound better, and it went on from there. She has a grounded honest professional approach to voice coaching, and can help you achieve both classical and modern sounds. She will find different ways of explaining what to go for if you are having trouble picking up a concept. I had taken regular of voice lessons years ago, and a session with Leota, was teaching me new things, reinforcing proper techniques, and remembering my voice's potential.
