Leona has been tutoring students of all ages in academic subjects, test preparation, and violin instruction for over 14 years, since 2001. One of Leona's elementary school students who started lessons with poor grades was nominated Student of the District within three months of lessons with Leona. Leona teaches students of all ages and experience levels. Leona is a practicing attorney and is also currently pursuing her MBA. She attended NYU for her Bachelor's Degree, Washington and Lee for her JD, and is now an MBA student at NYU Stern. She has received As and superior scores in all of the academic courses and exams for which she tutors, and has won awards and soloed with orchestras on the violin. Her skills, personal experience, and schooling will bring all students to the next level in their studies. Leona is a very patient instructor and works with students at their own pace to achieve great results!

    Leona is an exceptional teacher. From the very beginning of our lesson she made me feel comfortable with getting to the root cause of the mistakes that I’ve made on past GRE exams. She is easy to work with and didn’t waste a moment of our time. I felt relaxed and the content that I was shaky on before we started the lesson was made clear and I feel more confident than I’ve ever felt in answer the specific questions we went over, which were quite a few. Extremely grateful. I’m also happy that she assigned homework before our next lesson. It really helps gauge progress. Excellent teacher!

    Leona has been my life coach for several sessions now and I could not more highly recommend her. Depending on what information she is given beforehand, she will research the situation of the particular student (what career field they are considering for example) and bring what she has learned to the session. She then will listen intently to the student to find out what they want and what is most important to them. After that she will make excellent recommendations designed to maximize the chance that the student will succeed. After having several sessions with her, I can confidently say that every piece of advice she gives leads to a positive outcome if followed. For these reasons, I wholeheartedly recommend her.
