I have enjoyed teaching children to play the piano and organ for over 50 years.  I use classical methods, and I have also developed my own method for instructing that makes it easier for children to learn to play quickly, through the incorporation of color into the instruction method.   
                     (It even works for adults) 

I have found that by making it easy to pick up the basics of playing quickly, students learn to enjoy making music - even before they learn the science of music notation or musical theory.

By teaching children to love making music while learning how to truly play the piano, it keeps them interested, makes them happy, and they even look forward to their piano lessons.  

All learning happens more quickly and at a deeper level when students enjoy the subject matter and truly want to learn, rather than simply by rote and repetition.

I am a lifelong educator, church musician and choral director who has been teaching children the love of music for over 50 years. One of my piano and organ students even grew up to be the town organist for the city of Sydney Australia, and plays in the Sydney Opera House.

I especially enjoy teaching young children music, because of the visible joy it brings them over and over again.
