Lee is an experienced teacher for acoustic & electric guitar, bass guitar, songwriting/music theory, live performance, and bassoon. She makes learning music fun and interesting, and offers a wide variety of musical styles. Lee shares the benefits of her experience playing guitar and bass guitar in cover bands and recording bass lines on her own (and others) original songs, and offers an easy method for playing bass for both new and experienced musicians. Learn to play bass guitar with simple, movable patterns and follow chord changes by ear, with or without reading notes or TAB. Lee uses her own visual materials, including grids and chord patterns, to help reinforce how to play bass lines and understand song structure. • Bachelor of Music Education from Loyola University, New Orleans (Instrumental Music) • Master of Music from Belmont University, Nashville (Instrumental Pedagogy) • Award-winning performing singer-songwriter • Guitar Instructor for community college, high school and middle school  • "Acoustic Intensive" instructor in acoustic guitar, music theory and songwriting for the National Guitar Workshop in New Orleans, Austin, Chicago, and Nashville

Teaching online since 2018 Minimum age: 10 Welcome! I teach students of all ages (10+), abilities and genders, and I focus on positive and productive learning techniques, specialized for individual needs. I have taught beginning and intermediate players for many years and know all the best ways to acquire technical and musical proficiency, including recommendations for the most playable instruments and the best accessories.  I have a master's degree and comprehensive experience in music instruction and performance, including solo performance, orchestra, concert band, folk/bluegrass orchestra, chamber ensembles, rock/blues/folk and cover bands, pep band, opera and musical theatre. I teach lessons in person in the Los Angeles area, and online using a desktop computer, an Ethernet connection, and a professional microphone. All you need is a good internet connection and device (computer or tablet) and the basic tools: an instrument, an armless chair, and a quiet location.

Lee has been patient with me and finds ways to connect the theory with the actual guitar playing, which is just what I'm looking for.
