€‹I have been playing for over twenty years and teaching for over fifteen years, to children and adults. I have a positive, encouraging teaching style with an emphasis on meeting each individual student's needs, in their interest of learning how to play drums. I have played in bands of all styles; Rock, Punk, Blues, Funk, Metal, Progressive Metal, Traditional Jazz, and Fusion in clubs across Southern California such as the Key Club, The Roxy, and the House of Blues, Hollywood, as well as in Las Vegas, NV, the Pacific Northwest, and Chicago, IL. My versatile background makes it possible for you to learn any style that you want to play on the drums. I was privately trained and have continued to study percussion through the years. I completed a jazz album with the direction of Bruce Eskovitz of the University of Southern California's music department (2001). In 2010 I performed at Universal Studios, Hollywood, produced by director Dwight Kennedy. Currently, I play in several projects. One being an original funk/dance project, another being a professionally produced tribute to Led Zeppelin, called Lady Zep. *** Lesson Details *** Whether you or someone you know wants to learn how to play drums for the first time or improve technique, prepare for school band, or learn how to play your favorite songs, we can work in the direction to meet your goal. Students learn how to read drum transcription, as well as ear training, rudiments, beats, odd time signatures, and independent coordination. As well as learning the fundamentals, you can learn your favorite songs and have fun too! *** Travel Equipment *** Students should have a practice pad, hand drums, or drum set at home. *** Specialties *** Students learn rudiments, technique, how to read & write drum notation, independent coordination, beat patterns, odd time signatures, various styles (rock, blues, jazz, funk, afro-cuban, metal, progressive metal, latin), and ear training.

she seem adequate as far as skills. what impressed me is how she keyed in on my level. in about 5 minutes she had rated me and started to taylor my lesson. she put me very close to my desired level of training. very good intuition.
