Hi there! I have been teaching for about seven years now in San Francisco, New York City and Philadelphia. Below my bio, you can find some reviews that I've received from some of my students in NYC. I was born and raised in Philadelphia, graduated from NYU in 2013 with a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance, and received my Master of Music degree in classical voice at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where I sang in operas, concerts and recitals weekly. While I was living in SF and NYC, I maintained a private studio of voice students. I love teaching as much as I love performing, so being able to do both is wonderful! I believe that technique IS expression--a singer must have solid technique in order to express with ease, freedom and artistry. My focus as a teacher is not only on developing a healthy and dependable technique, but also on finding the inner strength and confidence that it takes to be a singer. I am understanding of, and sympathetic towards students from all different backgrounds and experience levels. My students and I work to create a unique set of goals, and we map out how we get there TOGETHER. I have experience teaching adults, young adults and children, in pop, musical theater and classical/operatic genres. All of my teaching experience has been in private studio settings.
