Bitter Root Pottery

At this private studio, I teach both private and group lessons involving ceramics. I am working primarily with beginners who are interested in pottery, while also teaching private lessons for students interested in hand-building techniques.

Once a week I teach at this artist-run Ceramic Studio. Here I help people with hand-building techniques. We create everything from lamps to air plant holders!

Mill Valley Potters Studio

I was the youth teacher at MVPS, where I implemented a curriculum of introductory ceramic methods to three age groups (seven to eighteen years old) as a contracted position. I also was an assistant teacher for the adults during open studio hours, as well as the assistant for the Raku Workshops. I was always glad to help the studio technicians load kilns as well as keep the studio organized and clean.

San Francisco Art Institute

In this undergraduate class, I was responsible for keeping attendance and also watching over students growth in order to report to the lead teacher. I also was responsible for leading several lectures on different aspects of how to engage with an audience and exhibit work.

Danielle Lawrence facilitated many in-class figure drawing sessions, where I would help students learn tricks about perspective and rendering of the human figure. I was asked to draw in front of students, so they could obtain skills from observation. I also exposed students to a variety of tools and educated them about proper materials to help better their practice.
