Piano with Lauri H.

I am a summa cum laude graduate of the U. of Evansville's Music Therapy program, with piano pedagogy training, GA State U's Music Education graduate program, and will complete Kodály certification in CO State U's Music Education program this summer. I have performed nationally with thousands of professional and student musicians and have been a faculty accompanist at several universities. My studios have expanded successfully to as many as 80 private students and I have won many awards in teaching students in K-12 settings. I am also the former organist for the National Christian Choir. I recently taught music at The Grosse Pointe Academy and was the Director of the Detroit Children's Choir, leaving both positions to complete my Ph. D. in Music Education. I believe in individual musicianship. I create a safe, warm, fun, encouraging and caring learning space, as students develop their own goals with my support, nurture and mentoring. All that is needed is a desire and a piano!
