Master the MCAT with an Affordable, Reliable, & Relatable 520 Scorer

No matter where you are in the process, I would love to help you tackle the MCAT. I am a 520 scorer, a previous physics TA, a 3.9 UCLA grad, a member of the National Tutoring Association, and an all-around darn nice human. As much as I'd love to brag that my success came easily, I'd be lying. Yet, being a tutor that struggled has made me by far a better teacher. I had to hone my strategy, get creative with mnemonics, and plan my time impeccably: all things I love to pass on to my students. My test strategies have gotten me scouted by companies such as Blueprint and Jack Westin, but I see the greatest leaps and bounds when I work with students privately. Let me know if I can be of service.

About Lauren N.

(5)
Lauren prides herself on being a well-rounded mind as she has education ranging from the humanities to the hard sciences. Her initial degree was a double major in Theater and Literature from New College of Florida where she received a full-scholarship plus a merit stipend. After spending years as a professional actor in Los Angeles, she returned to school at UCLA for a post-baccalaureate degree as a pre-med and maintained a 4.0 GPA. She went on to score a 520 on the MCAT and become a full-time tutor. She teaches the MCAT, physics, chemistry, organic chemistry, and biology. She also specializes in admissions essay preparation. She is a current resident of New Orleans where she revels in community clothing swaps, crawfish boils, and being the president of her weekly Nerdy Book Club.

Absolutely amazing tutor!!!! She helped me learn strategies for CARS, B/B, and C/P that actually saved me when studying for the mcat. After working with her I felt so much more confident in myself and in taking the test, as she made everything seem so much clearer in my head. I was scoring 505s before we started working together and after a few months I got a 519 on the real thing!!!! She is sooooo easy to work with and definitely made studying for this brutal test a lot easier and simpler, so I definitely recommend for anything mcat related, whether it is strategy or content because she saved me with both!

If I could give Lauren 10,000 stars I would. She is a phenomenal tutor. Not only does Lauren have a thorough understanding of the material, she also has a thorough understanding of the MCAT. She prevented me from wasting weeks getting lost in rabbit holes that will never show up on the test. Lauren kept me focused on what I needed to cover and has the unique ability to explain the material in a simplistic way that is easy to remember. With the thousands of test prep companies and tutors available, it can be difficult to know which ones will actually be helpful. Lauren is a win. Let her sherpa you through the MCAT - you won't regret it!

I didn't realize how much I need Lauren in my life and in my MCAT studies until I took a chance on her - and it has been the greatest decision in my career. Initially, I was wary over how our lessons will pan out given that they were all going to be online. Technical issues and conveying information over online platforms were never a concern during my time with her. She was adept, flexible, and always took the time to double check my questions to make sure the correct information was being learned. She was never afraid to be serious and real with you and she is 100% there to help you achieve the goal that you set out for yourself, practically speaking and emotionally. She is my fiercest cheerleader and she's been a rock in how I've been processing the emotional and mental turmoil that is the MCAT exam. I came looking for a tutor and left with a forever friend and fierce supporter - and that, is irreplaceable.
