I've had a lifelong love of music, nurtured in part by my own childhood music study. In addition to teaching private lessons, I teach music at a K-8th grade school, and I'm a singer-songwriter who has performed in various venues around the L.A. area. For my music education training, I completed levels 1 and 2 of Orff Schulwerk at Cal State L.A. Often called elemental music education, Orff Schulwerk is an approach to music education that includes movement, drama, speech, and a lot of student improvisation and composition. I also completed early childhood music education training through KinderMusik. I am a patient, perceptive person, and I love to figure out what makes children tick so I can connect them to music through their own interests and personality. I'd love to help your child realize their musical goals. And if you're an adult who's looking to try a new instrument, brush up, or learn to write songs, I would be happy to work with you as well.
