Lauren Edwards recently earned her Master of Music degree from Ohio University, and attended Capital University Conservatory of Music for her Bachelor of Music degree. At Ohio University, she enjoyed teaching flute lessons, flute methods, music theory, and flute choir, as the flute teaching assistant. Lauren has performed on flute and piccolo with the Ohio Valley Symphony, Otterbein Summer Theatre Program, Parkersburg Choral Society, and for weddings at Hocking Hills. Recently, she began studying the basics of flute repair to further her education of the complex instrument.

Lauren is a wonderful flute instructor! She is kind, organized, and has helped my daughter improve a great deal with her flute playing. Lauren is very agreeable and flexible in scheduling make up lessons.

Lauren is a great teacher who takes time to get to know her students and help them excel. She provides constructive criticism to help stidents know what they need to work on, but also healthy doses of praise to keep them motivated and know what they are doing well. My child loves her teaching style and going to lessons. I highly recommend Lauren!

Lauren has been working with my daughter for almosr a year now. She helps my 8th grader keep up with the school assignments and adds fun duets or popular music to keep lessons interesting. My daughter came home after school started back up and realized how much better she’d gotten since this time last year - and she’s much more confident in her playing. She’s very flexible with schedules as well.
