Teaching since:

Join my Center City studio! I believe in teaching healthy and effective singing, emphasizing character and intention, and incorporating general music theory.

I have taught kids, high schoolers, and young adults, but I feel comfortable teaching all levels! I also teach piano and music theory to beginner and intermediate levels.

I have years of performing and teaching experience, and am constantly learning and growing in both fields. I have sung a variety of roles in opera and musical theater throughout New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Louisiana, as well as solo work in Boston's Symphony Hall and the Museum of Art. I also taught choir on top of voice/piano lessons.

I attended LSU for my undergraduate degrees in Voice Performance as well as Music Education, and recently graduated from The Boston Conservatory with my MM in Voice Performance, and a Professional Studies Certificate. I also have several years studying voice under an Alexander Technical teacher.

Took from Lauren to figure out how to sing, outside of just my shower. She is wonderful. Knows the details of the voice, and can explain it well to beginners. She’s also very patient and kind and encourages me to try, even if it’s not good. Thanks Lauren!

Great overall instructor! Brought my daughter as a beginner pianist just looking to understand the instrument. Ms Lauren not only focused on notes and general theory, but also musical ideas and intention. Definitely recommend!

Lauren's understanding of the voice is both holistic and technical, and she is able to tailor her explanations of the vocal mechanism to meet the student's technical level and learning style. She is also kind and supportive, and is a joy to work with. Highly recommend!!

I have worked with her on many occasions and would definitely recommend her as a teacher for all of your singing needs whether it be a recital, college auditions, preparing for an audition or gig, or just to have fun with music.

Lauren is amazing! My daughter was preparing for an audition and I thought a lesson or two might help her gain confidence. Lauren is patient, kind, and has wonderful technique. They worked on breath control and finding the shape of phrases. My daughter was very happy. We would definitely recommend Lauren!

Lauren was a kind, conscientious, and helpful teacher! She helped me feel more confident about singing with my voice and not what I think I should sound like. She answered all my questions thoughtfully. Thanks Lauren!
