I've been teaching French for over 5 years and my students have gone on to develop a deep love of Francophone culture, study abroad in Europe, and more! Salut! I'm an FSU graduate with a Master's degree in French Literature and a Bachelor's in International Affairs, French and Italian. I have traveled abroad to over 16 countries and have lived in Italy, France, Ecuador and Argentina. Due to my studies and international experience, I am comfortable with French, Spanish and Italian. I have over 5 years of teaching experience, 2 at the university level and I am just starting my 4th year at the high school level. I also have two years experience teaching in the International Baccalaureate Programme. I am currently a French teacher at East Lake High School and am looking to supplement my awesome teacher salary so that I can continue to travel the world!

Mme Akins was a wonderful French tutor, and she ultimately helped me pass my course at FSU with flying colors! She was able to explain and present information in a manner that was easy to understand, without ever making me feel overwhelmed. I was struggling in several areas, but Mme Akins provided thorough instruction, along with useful exercises to make sure I successfully mastered each domain. Her tutoring even included learning about French culture, which came directly from her experience abroad. She was authentic, engaging, and creative. I would highly recommend her if you are struggling with grasping the French language!
