Hi! Spanish: I have been speaking Spanish fluently since 2008! I love kids and love sharing Spanish and my love of language with others! I graduated from Indiana University in 2013, with a minor in Spanish! I have been speaking Spanish fluently since 2008, when I studied with IU Honors Program in Leon, Spain for 7 weeks! We spoke only in Spanish the entire summer, and took classes in grammar, literature, culture, and accent work. I have been speaking consistently and fluently ever since! I have taught several students in Spanish, whether tutoring for a school class or starting at the very beginning for students who just want to speak better, I have loved every Spanish teaching experience! Piano: I teach beginners and intermediate levels, ages 4 and up! I am doing my masters in music education at Butler right now, and have a passion for teaching music!! These lessons will be 100% what you want them to be! If you want theory knowledge, I'll include that! If you want to be able to accompany yourself while singing, let's make it happen! I think chords are a very important part of piano lessons so that students have a harmonic context for their playing, so I love including that! Violin: I have been playing violin since 1st grade and can teach all levels! I have taught all ages, and all styles! Bluegrass, classical, whatever you want! Whatever you want to be a part of your lessons, we can do it! These are for you! I love the "Introducing the Positions" book for shifting practice for more advanced students, and like to incorporate these into lessons!
