Because I teach voice, piano, and guitar, some students take more than one class from me. For example vocal and piano. My Music Degree from Point Loma Nazarene University is in Vocal Performance. I love what I do. I teach children through adults. I have lots of experience in worship leading for church if that is of interest. *** Lesson Details *** I am easy-going, but I expect you to practice. I am thorough in my approach. For piano lessons, I utilize the Alfred method. I emphasize note reading and theory in each genre, whether taking guitar, voice or piano. I am currently using Hal Leonard's Guitar Method books for guitar and a few different things for vocal curriculum. All lessons can be supplemented with what you are currently interested in or working towards. I enjoy helping prepare young people for their performances in theatre arts. Lessons can be combined, for example; if you are interested in both voice and guitar, you can take a longer weekly lesson and have both subjects covered! Weekly assignments are given and checked to see if done before proceeding to the next step! I do not recommend students come every other week. I recommend one lesson per week. *** Travel Equipment *** guitar and books. Student provides their guitar during lesson and for piano, must have a piano or keyboard at home for practice. *** Specialties *** I specialize in helping young worship leaders hone their gifts. I enjoy preparing people for their musical theatre performances.
