I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, and a Master's Degree in Secondary Science Education-Biology. I am certified in the state of Florida. The first lesson will consist of diagnostics so that I can better tailor my teaching to your child. For my reading students I assist with phonics and comprehension. I use high interest text selections to ensure that the child will actually enjoy what they are reading, in addition to improving their skills. Students who require math instruction, I like to revisit prerequisites. I find that mistakes are made in the lower levels of math, which makes learning math at the higher levels more difficult. If children need science instruction, I can help with re-teaching the material and clarifying any confusing or complicated concepts to ensure the material is clear and easily understood. My methods for language arts and history are similar to science.

Laura is fantastic with children and has great knowledge of the subject material. She is always prompt and friendly. The convenience of online lessons worked great and the hour long lessons are a great value
