Music is personal and brings us into contact both with ourselves and with a force beyond us. I am passionate about the spiritual awareness that results from the study of performing arts.
I have worked with ages 5 to 75, with kids, youth, and adults with ADD, ADHD, OCD, anxiety issues, cerebral palsy, selective mutism, substance abuse challenges, and those recovering from strokes. I have worked with professional teachers, mediators, and bank managers, as well as with college-degree-seeking music students, middle- and high-schoolers, and gifted children.

She added to my musical knowledge by helping me express myself through technique.

My girlfriend and I are both total beginners who had never/rarely sung in front of other people before, but Laura makes us feel super comfortable! I thought it would be a challenge to do singing lessons with two different people, but she gives both of us attention and great tips. She is very knowledgeable and encouraging, and we're both learning a lot! Thank you so much!

Laura is a very good teacher and she explains everything very well. Very helpful.

Laura is a fantastic teacher and extremely knowledgeable in all things music. She’s “a wealth of knowledge,” according to her colleagues. Laura is kind, patient, and has worked especially well with anxious adult students, like me. She is also calm and gives excellent advice for improving my voice, I leave her lessons feeling encouraged. I am fortunate to have found her!

Laura's been absolutely great with our children (now 10 and 11). She tailors her teaching style to each one, interacting with them at their level, engaging them, and pushing their music forward -- both their practical skills and their understanding of music itself -- in a manner that seems fun and personal. One of my children just asked what I was doing, and when told and asked if he had anything to say about Laura he replied:
"She is very nice and she is funny and she is a very good teacher"

She was great! I think she's going to be a wonderful fit for our daughter, who is excited to return!

It was awesome!

I had two months' of lessons with Laura over the summer, and learned a ton of new things. Laura has many tricks to help me practicing and get into good playing habits. She gradually add layers of interpretation techniques to a piece, and without realizing it, I had already progressed a lot. Unfortunately I have to move to a new place, otherwise I would definitely love to continue piano study with Laura!

Very good.
Laura was the 1st piano teacher of our daughter Julie - 6 years old at the time at
the Conservatoire de musique d'Ézanville - France. Laura clearly set the basis for Julie to progress steadily, she is good with children, flexible and firm on what need to be done (like practicing regularly at home)

Laura is my daughter's voice teacher and has helped her grow as a student and as a vocalist. Laura tailors her lessons to what my daughter's interests are and pushes her into new territory. She is kind, professional, creative and is an incredible teacher. She focuses on technical and artistic aspects of voice working on music theory, technique and performance. My daughter always looks forward to seeing Laura- she is a gift to our family!
I worked with Laura a few years ago. She was my American tutor. We did not play music together, but she help me to improve my English. She is a really nice teacher, always in a good mood, always helping her students in the best possible ways. I really enjoyed working with her. If ever you have the opportunity to work with Laura, just do it, you will not regret it!
