This was a temporary position designed for graduate students to get exposure to work as a professor. I was responsible for grading exams, entering grades, and giving lectures for three different professors.

I began to teach guitar at 16 years of age. I have taught seven- to 60-year-old students in a wide variety of styles. I studied jazz guitar primarily with Randy Vincent, one of the San Francisco Bay Area's greatest guitar players, and continue to broaden my horizons under the guidance of Matthew Grasso. Aside from teaching, I compose, perform, and research in Music and Language Arts.

Lars is an awesome instructor. Very knowledgeable and also very articulate with his instructions. I highly recommend him. I am an absolute beginner and yet he was able to share so much in the very first lesson itself! He also makes learning fun.

Lars is very patient and he goes into details explaining all my doubts. He also knows Spanish very well.

Lars came to the session on time, and was very patient with my son. He took the time to listen and gave helpful tips on becoming a better player. I would recommend him!

Wonderful guy who gives a well rounded lesson!

Lars has picked up on what we wanted to learn from the start.  He listens well and is a good communicator in instruction.  My daughter had only learned how to play certain songs, which she did quite well.  With Lars she is learning how to pick and other techniques in strumming and chord change that she's never been taught before.  We look forward to continuing with Lars and adding some voice instruction as well.  Wonderful personality, great disposition !
