Want a teacher that will keep you motivated and excited about learning? Well this teacher will do just that! This award winning singer, dancer, actress, choreographer, and writer was most recently awarded the 2014 George Spelvin (Georgie Award) for Outstanding Performance by and Actress in the musical Ain't Misbehavin'! She is also the 2012 recipient of the Best Actress in a Musical by Broadway World, and is one of the 10 Most Outstanding Young Women In America for her many contributions in the performing arts. Her film and television credits include E.R, Chicago Hope, Seinfeld, NYPD Blue, Spy Hard, Ghost of Mississippi, & Night Stand. However, it is her stage credits that has made the most significant impact in her life, as she toured the USA in the starring role of Effie White in the National Tour of Dreamgirls. After graduating from Stella Adler School of Production in LA as well as Zoe Christian Leadership Institute she developed a production company named Optasia Productions and has produced many theatrical, television, and independent film works as well as performed as Casting Director for “It’s A Miracle” on PAX Network. She relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee in 2002 from Los Angeles, CA as the Executive Director of the Historic Bijou Theater producing professional theatrical programming and touring educational pieces throughout the southeast, reaching more than 100,000 students within a 200 mile radius of downtown Knoxville. She also developed a top-notch arts education program that trained nearly 1000 children and adults in acting, movement, and musical theater. She was Talent Scout/Coach for the World Championship of Performing Arts and sent 5 students to LA to compete on an international basis, garnering many awards and scholarships. Lar currently sits on the City of Knoxville Public Arts Committee and works to bring empowerment to the physically disabled through her non profit, EMRI Alliance. “If you Decree It, and Believe It, You will See It!” *** Lesson Details *** I have performed on stage, in film, and on television, and believe in helping the actor develop the best techniques for all three different domains. My Acting Students of my 3 month program (24 hours) will receive Introduction to Scene Study, Character Development, Audition Preparation, Introduction to Meisner & Stanislavski Techniques. These students will receive a 12 week Certificate of Completion. 6 month program (48 hours) includes all of the above, Intermediate Scene Study, Character Development, Audition Preparation, and Intro to Adler and Strausberg Techniques. 24 Week Certificate of Completion, and a Showcase with area casting directors and producers. I have over 15 years of vocal instruction with individuals, groups, and choirs in Pop, R&B, Country, Musical Theater & Gospel music. I have coached American Idol hopefuls and World Championship Winners! My Vocal Students will receive introduction to Speech Level Singing as made famous by Seth Riggs. They will be taught breathing techniques and learn the 3 singing voices that everyone has and how and when to use them. As a career belter that has also had extensive studies in classical training, I feel it important to teach how to utilize head, belt, and mix voices........correctly so as not to ruin your vocal ability. I will also teach vocal care and how to individualize vocal styling; finding your own unique voice and sound. *** Studio Equipment *** Keyboard and a relaxed homey atmosphere. *** Specialties *** Acting: I teach basic characterization through both Meisner & Stanislavsky introduction while referencing others like Adler and Strausberg. I delight in helping the actor develop their own means of character development. Vocals: I help the vocalist analyze their own individual style and help them develop breathing techniques, experiment with various tonal interpretations, and helping them to strengthen their vocal control.

I greatly enjoyed my lessons with Larjuanette. Under her guidance, I made great strides in my vocal technique and discovered that I had a much higher singing range than I thought. Both my sister (a music education major at UT) and my choir director noticed and commented on the progress I made vocally. If you are considering voices lessons and are looking for a coach who will encourage you and push you to reach your full potential, then I recommend Larjuannette Williams.

Lar rocks! I was a bit afraid of using an online company but this experience has been terrific from using the 800 number to great selection of teachers....We have been impressed and totally satisfied with all Lar has done with teaching. We did not know anything about singing and she taught my child controlled breathing, some vibrato, how to use her falsetto, identify her range, etc. And she is very friendly and personable! She has been easy to communicate to and has been willing to work with us and our crazy schedules due to school academics and activities.... We would highly recommend her....
