I've always had a passion for education since I was a little girl. Math, in particular, has always come naturally to me. As result, I've always been able to offer a helping hand break down math problems in a way that is simple and easy to understand. I have over 2 years of experience putting my teaching method into practice and I've seen its success. My lessons are customized and catered to the needs of each student. Not only will you be achieving the grades you want in no time, but you will be building a strong foundation of numbers and operations, algebra, geometry and measurement, data analysis, statistics, probability and more. Teaching since:

Hi, my name is Larissa Oglesby a junior psychology major at St. John's University. I've always had a passion for education since I was a little girl. Ultimately, because of my love of education and passing on knowledge to others, my life long goal is to become a professor. Throughout my college career so far a lot of my time has been focused on research. However, I would love to devote more time to educating others. My past and present work experiences are centered around small children. I'm always excited to work with this age group and find it makes work fun. I hope I can be a phenomenal tutor to your child and enrich their academic development.

Elementary Math · In studio

Larissa was a great tutor. Twice a week after school she helped my daughter in math and reading. I watched my daughter go from below grade level in math and reading to exceeding expectations on her final report card. She was dependable and always set high expectations for her. she never let her get off easy. And it truly worked wonders.
