In audition preparation with me one can expect a thorough approach to the learning of excerpts. All of this preparation is done within a safe, relaxed, and supportive environment.

Lara has been teaching private lessons since 2014 and is currently available to teach lessons at her home studio in Chicago, IL.

Lara received her training at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music, where she received a bachelor's degree in violin performance. She graduated Cum Laude from DePaul University School of Music with a Master's Degree in violin performance. Lara looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals. Lara's teaching style is friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic. She has a true desire to meet each student at their level and do her best to help them improve musically.

Very unprofessional. I booked my appointment on June 1st with my first appointment being June 12th. On the day of my appointment (today), the instructor contacted me to confirm my appointment time and provide a brief description of myself. 2 hours before my appointment the instructor informed me that she had reached capacity with scheduling and could not take me on as a student. I do not appreciate having to wait 12 days to be canceled on just a couple of hours before my lesson. This was not a good first experience with Take Lessons. Hopefully, my next instructor is more considerate of others' time.

Lara was very thorough and VERY patient with my hyper 5 year old. She has a nice set up and is welcoming. Looking forward to more lessons!
