Classical Piano with Laney W.

The amount of patience that Laney has is incredible. It is key for me to have a teacher that is encouraging, kind and that doesn't make me feel bad when I make mistakes. Also, I can tell that she loves teaching and that she has so much knowledge to share!!

I am really really choosy about who I let my children around. Laney is such a fantastic human being with a good, pure heart. She’s great with children. She is smart and eloquent, friendly, kind as well as compassionate. The curriculums she uses work well. She chooses based on what she thinks will work best with your child. For mine, she was spot on. The lessons are fun. She has the children do multiple activities so they aren’t just sitting still doing drill and kill the entire time. Sometimes my child’s homework has a teacher part. So whatever he learns he comes back and plays with Laney playing another part like a duet. It’s so beautiful, I want to cry. It really rewards his practice. Laney has good intuition regarding children as well. In the beginning, my son was really nervous and would forget even what a simple letter from the alphabet looked like. If she had said something sarcastic or questioned him, he would have shut down and it would have been hard for him to learn. But she didn’t do that at all. She just told him what it was and kept moving. What a relief. We have moved a lot. I rely on reviews a lot for service providers so I tried to include info that was important to me for you. Laney is a great pianist, teacher and a good person.

Ella es una increíble pianista y maestra. Tomé casi 6 meses de piano con ella y aprendí muchas cosas. Me encantaba que elegía canciones que me iban a gustar y de acuerdo a mi nivel. Disfruté mucho las clases! She is an awesome pianist and teacher. I took almost 6 months of piano with her and I learned lots of stuff. I loved that she always picked songs I was gonna like and according to my level. I really enjoyed each class!
