Take on the challenges of managing and producing a film with a decorated producer and instructor.

I’ve been teaching Filmmaking for 7 years and my students have gone on to produce there own movies, writer there on movies, and direct there own movies. Within the first few lessons, you’ll be able to fully perform what I like to call the Quality Test on any project. Which consist of analyzing the following: Film Concept,Script, Director,Cast & Overall Team. As time goes on you’ll be able to understand tax incentives, different types of financing options, & investor types. In addition you will be able to execute all of the necessary paperwork required for pre-production,production and post-production. In addition you will be equipped with the skills necessary to produce/direct your own or others movie. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can’t wait to meet you!

LaMarcus has been teaching private lessons since 2010 and is currently available to teach lessons at your home, at his properties clubhouse, and online. LaMarcus has helped students learn skills in film/tv acting, Producing there own films & directing movies. He is best known for his roles as teenage football star Dallas on the Emmy Award winning NBC television drama Friday Night Lights, and as Kevin on the ABC comedy Cougar Town. He appeared as the recurring character Shane on the third season of the Emmy Award winning FOX television show Glee. LaMarcus is also a producer/director and production company owner. As an expert in his field, LaMarcus looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals. LaMarcus’s teaching style is very hands on. LaMarcus’s believes in not only providing the skills necessary to succeed in the entertainment business but also believes in providing the necessary mentorship for all of his students.

DON’T EVER loan LaMarcus Tinker money or invest in his productions as you will never get it back. I loaned him money to put in escrow for a named actor for a film he was producing. Mr. Tinker not only didn’t pay the money back per our contract, he used some of the money for “other things” even though the loan was specifically and only for escrow. Mr. Tinker never communicated to me that the money would be used for something other than what was agreed and never informed me I would not be paid back as per the contract. It wasn’t until I kept pushing him for the money that he admitted he didn’t have it. Several people invested in this production and not one investor has been paid back nor has he informed the investors that he is no longer producing the film. In fact, as of Feb, 2021 he advised some investors that things were proceeding as planned and he was trying to secure actors. This is a complete lie!
