Hi! My name is LaConti and I am a certified ESL and Elementary Education Teacher in Texas, Virginia, Colorado, and Indiana. I love all things education. I have over 8 years of teaching and tutoring experience in elementary and high school. Previously, I was an ESL Instructional Coach working with and supporting high school content area teachers that working with English Language Learners. I love to see students learning and succeed! I understand that vocabulary and academic language play huge role in student success in school. I work hard to ensure that learning and tutoring sessions are meaningful and engaging. I am trained in several phonic programs that use direct and explicit instruction to teach phonic. In addition, I have a working knowledge about research that supports phonics instruction and how to implement best practices for phonics instruction. Recently, researchers and textbook publishers have connects spelling to phonics instruction. In addition, to learning how to become a great speller I ensure that phonics skills are effectively reinforced.
