I am constantly learning new things and love teaching others what I discover. I am easy to get along with and enjoy meeting new, interesting people. I love to laugh, so if I can bring humor into our lessons I will do so any chance I get. 😁
A little about my background:
I have twenty years of teaching experience in the K-12 setting. In the last two decades I have taught a variety of subjects: English, ESL, composition/writing, literature, and study skills. Additionally, I was a technology teacher and taught basic typing, Microsoft Office, and Adobe PhotoShop.
Planned engaging lessons to diverse populations, managed behaviors in a class of 35 students, met with parents to go over educational goals and objectives, attended faculty meetings and served on the leadership team
Worked at Cousins Middle School in Covington, GA for three years. I was the team leader for one of the 6 grade teams at the school.
Wrote standards based curriculum for Newton County School District.
