    About Kyle W.

About Me Being a young professional violinist and teacher, relatability and authenticity are key factors within my lessons. We are now living in a deeply globalized and modern world, therefore relationships with active and and ambitious musicians are necessary. The moment that one thinks they have learned "what it takes" is exactly when others are able to surpass them. Stemming from this mindset, I also continue my studies with some of the best violinists and other musicians that I have encountered from around the world. This demonstrates a principal of not only informed teaching, but also living the lifestyle that I preach every day. Experience For many years, I have been working closely with one of the most talented violinists of our generation, Cory Lee ( graduated - The Juilliard School & Yale School of Music ). Mr. Lee has performed as a violin soloist in Carnegie Hall on several occasions, is a member of the acclaimed New York City ensemble ETHEL, and founder of Liberated Performer; a game-changing teaching method on how to understand and overcome performance anxiety. As a result, I have been invited to live and study in New York City and abroad over the past five years. While in NYC, I performed in many notable venues including The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Le Poisson Rouge. Afterwards, my development led me to Reykjavik, Iceland for an intense training period in violin and vocal performance. During this time, I was able to experience first hand exactly what it takes to invoke a career as a musician within some of the most challenging and rewarding musical environments. Education - 2013 to 2017 Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison University in violin performance ( 4.00 / 4.00 music major GPA ) and received the distinguished achievements of Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Newark Granville Symphony Orchestra – 2016 Season The NGSO is an all professional orchestra located in Ohio, performing several full concerts of classical as well as popular repertoire throughout the year. Next Festival of Emerging Artists – 2015 and 2016 Seasons Performs exciting new music written by living composers. As a string chamber orchestra of 20 members, we collaborate with some of the most in demand soloists of our generation. My two participating seasons have included multiple performances at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City while respectively featuring Jeffrey Zeigler (2015) and Nadia Sirota (2016).
