I grew up in a small town in Northern CA. I started playing guitar at seven and am still just as passionate about it. I also compose music and have been in a few bands. I have been playing guitar for 15 years (teaching for 5) I have a commercial music diploma in performance and education. I started talking lessons young and kept it up all throughout high school. I know proper technique with classical, some flamenco, jazz, rock, blues, country, pop, metal, and experimental type music. Teach everything from basic theory to advanced theory.
*** Lesson Details ***
I am a very patient individual and will do whatever it takes to get a point across. I am easy going and want to focus solely on what the student wants. I have an excellent ear and will help you learn any songs you want to learn. I can teach basic theory all the way up to very advanced theory. The first lesson we will discuss your goals as a player and how we are going to reach that goal. I customize my lesson plans to the students' needs. I make it fun with drum beats to play to with bass and keyboards to simulate what its like to really play. I will tailor to your specific ability and write out a lesson plan based on your interests/abilities. I am very organized and know that within 3-6 months of diligent practice and a positive attitude students will improve their abilities as players.
