Through my adaptive teaching style students will be able to delve deep into their preferred genre of focus. Beginners will all start out with proper playing position, hand dexterity exercises, an applied understanding of their instrument and instrument maintenance, and melodic and timing exercises. Intermediate and advanced players will be introduced to more intricate warm ups, right hand and left hand technique building exercises, and applied theory lessons.

I've been teaching electric and upright bass lessons since 2013 after graduating from the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts as a double major in upright bass and tuba. I am flexible with my teaching methods because all students learn differently, and many want to play in more than one genre (and that's great)! I am comfortable teaching all genres and I also offer music theory lessons for middle school aged students and above. I am available for online lessons via Skype but prefer in person lessons to better analyze students' playing and learning style. I hope to see you soon!
