Hailing from just a half-hour's journey from Hollywood, California—America's glittering epicenter of entertainment—my life has always been magnetized to the lustrous allure of performance. With my vocal journey commencing at the tender age of five, I've been blessed to receive guidance from globally acclaimed mentors, Like Laurie Winckel, Carol Modessit, Ken Peterson, Norris Chappell Jr., and the Tony Award Winner Lisa Seegmiller. Further honing my skills, I immersed myself in studying music and vocal performance at Southern Utah University, fully funded by a scholarship, with my focus on opera and musical theatre. It is with immense pleasure that I invite you to unravel one of the globe's most potent yet effortlessly learnable vocal techniques. My firm belief is that singing should feel as comfortable as everyday conversation. Every lesson with me is meticulously designed to cater to your unique needs and aspirations. In our first session, we will unravel the elements hindering your vocal progression and craft a specialized vocal exercise routine that addresses your concerns. Every voice is an individual's unique signature. Yours deserves tailored attention and care, even in its minutest details. My approach encompasses meticulous care for your voice, nurturing it in a warm, safe environment where you are free to relax and be your authentic self. Whether you are a novice exploring lessons for the first time or a seasoned professional seeking a more effective, intuitive approach, I urge you to schedule a lesson with me and discover the remarkable difference. I cater to students aged 9 and above and work with all genres of music. I offer in-person lessons at my studio in Hutto, TX, and provide virtual lessons across the US and globally. I eagerly look forward to aiding you in crafting a magnificent legacy of singing! My vocal accolades include securing first place in both the musical theater and classical divisions of the National Association of Teachers of Singing competition in 2005 and 2009 in the Las Vegas chapter. My TV singing debut arrived in 2003, when I was honoured to perform the National Anthem at the Paradise Bowl. I have also performed as a soprano soloist alongside both the Orchestra of Southern Utah and the Southwest Symphony in their renditions of Handel's Messiah. My passion for the performing arts has ignited my desire to teach this love to others. My first studio was established over 15 years ago in Southern Utah while attending Dixie State University. Since then, I've expanded to Las Vegas, the Kansas City area, and, in 2014, Austin, Texas. From 2011 to May 2013, I was employed as the resident music director for the Kids in the Round Theater company. I am proud to say my students have been cast in leading roles in regional theater companies nationwide and TV and film projects. My younger students frequently land leading roles in their middle school and high school productions and are chosen for chamber choirs and select performance groups. *** Lesson Highlights *** -Customized warm-up exercises aimed at fostering voice development for each student -Tailored instruction to amplify your vocal ability, regardless of experience level or genre -Performance Coaching *** Areas of Expertise *** Specializing in pop, musical theatre, classical/opera, jazz, gospel, R&B, and Alternative/Rock.
