    About Kristyl T.

For 18 years, I have helped students improve their vocal skills by training them to become better technical singers and expanding their knowledge of singing styles. As a professor, I have taught at the university level for a total of 6 years in Theatre and Communication Arts, teaching such courses as Voice, Speech, Public Speaking, and Musical Theatre singing. A classically-trained singer with a 3-octave range and proficiency in classical/opera, jazz, r&b/soul, blues, and other styles, I am an excellent teacher with patience and an encouraging manner. A lifelong learner, I hold a PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies from The University of Georgia, an MFA in Acting from The New School, and a BA in Theatre (with a Music Minor) from Georgia Southern University. I look forward to helping you reach your musical goals!

This general principle—that scholarship alone couldn’t predict success, and that other intrinsic qualities had value too—became known as the OΔK Idea.
