I am a classically trained pianist and piano teacher. I have a B.A. from Hunter college, NY and graduated in 2004. I use a variety of eclectic methods in my teaching of children and adults. One of the ways I teach piano, which is the most common and traditional way of learning a musical instrument, is by teaching music notation and developing mastery of reading music sheets. But for those who want to opt out of reading and just want to have fun exploring piano, I offer a hands-on non-reading and play by ear approach to learning where I teach and demonstrate chords and harmonies on the piano visually.
