A vivacious and passionate educator and performer, Kristina received her Masters in Clarinet Performance and Literature at the Eastman School of Music where she held the Graduate Teaching Assistantship for instructing MUE-221 Clarinet Methods. At Eastman, Kristina was a member of the Eastman Philharmonia, the Eastman Wind Ensemble, a founding member of Trio Ario, and performed with Ossia, a student managed contemporary music ensemble.
Currently, Kristina is a Teaching Artist for Sistema Ravinia's Harza Nucleo, bringing intensive after school El Sistema music program to elementary and middle school students of Lake County. In addition, Kristina has an active private studio in the greater Chicago area.
Kristina’s principal teachers include Kenneth Grant, Larry Combs, Julie DeRoche, Susan Warner, Deborah Chodacki and Nancy Mathison. Kristina holds a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance, Magna Cum Laude, from DePaul University and is an alumna of Interlochen Arts Academy.
Kristina has performed in master classes for Ricardo Morales, Michel Lethiec, Mark Nuccio and Jon Manasse. In 2013, Kristina made her international solo debut in Chåteauneuf, France. Kristina can be heard on the Eastman Wind Ensemble's most recent album.
In addition to music engagements, Kristina is a 300-hour Certified Jivamukti Yoga Teacher, and enjoys cooking and hiking.

I input my general availability into the calendar, however it does not account for commuting times between teaching engagements. Depending on your location in the greater Rochester area, my lesson availability my vary.
A student's weekly lesson time is decided based on a mutually agreed upon time. If the student needs to reschedule their lesson, the instructor will do her best to accommodate the student's needs. Reoccurring lessons are confirmed and scheduled minimum of one week in advance.

Taught MUE-221 Clarinet Class, created curricula and course schedules, regularly communicated with students and the head of the Education Department, executed my lesson plans resulting in weekly student achievements, and conducted evaluations on students’ performance and pedagogical success.
The International Clarinet Association is a community of clarinetists and clarinet enthusiasts that supports projects that will benefit clarinet performance; provides opportunities for the exchange of ideas, materials, and information among its members; fosters the composition, publication, recording, and distribution of music for the clarinet; encourages the research and manufacture of a more definitive clarinet; avoids commercialism in any form while encouraging communication and cooperation among clarinetists and the music industry; and encourages and promotes the performance and teaching of a wide variety of repertoire for the clarinet.
