Having studied at some of Hollywood's top schools, some of my accomplishments include interning for Universal Music Publishing Group, teaching for Yamaha Music School, and helping students to get into renowned arts schools like OCSA. I specialize in Artist Development, Songwriting, and Recording. As a mother myself, I've toured over 25+ schools and incorporate a gentle parenting approach to teaching children (ages 8+). Over the past 12 years, I've taught students of all ages. No matter what the age or ultimate goal, this is what I've found to remain true: your voice cannot emerge in an environment of unsafety. Let's build a foundation together where you can truly enjoy what you're creating, so that others can, too!
About Kristina J.

Hi There! My name is Kristina Jareno. I began teaching at the age of 16 when I started fulfilling the role of TA to my first music teacher. As I got older, I started fulfilling the role of Substitute Teacher and full Teacher. I attended the Musician's Institute, studying Vocal Performance and Music Business. I went on to intern for Universal Music Publishing Group, studied further at the Songwriting School of Los Angeles, and taught for Yamaha Music School. Here I am in my 30's, looking back fondly at the students I've taught of all ages and walks of life. Some with special needs, some with more professional aspirations who've gone on to win local competitions and get accepted to schools like OCSA, some with big dreams, and some just wanting to find themselves again. My lessons tend to focus both on creating a plan together artistically/professionally and on emergent structure. As a mother I've toured over 25+ schools in LA and OC counties. So if you're a parent wanting singing lessons for your child that align with progressive approaches to education and parenting (i.e. RIE, Reggio, Montessori, Waldorf, Humanistic, Constructivist, Pluralistic, Gentle Parenting, Attachment Parenting, Self-Directed Education), I can definitely incorporate this approach into our lessons. Thanks so much for taking the time to review my profile, and I look forward to meeting you!
