Elementary Math with Kristen L.

I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Psychology. I also minored in Disability Studies and Gerontology. I have been tutoring students for over 3 years and have experience working with all age groups. I enjoy teaching students of all levels and backgrounds. As a tutor, I have taught lessons in multiple subjects, but my personal interest is in Reading and Writing. I help my students improve their skills weekly while encouraging them to craft their own voice and writing style. (This is very important for high school students working on their college admission essays!) I strive to really get to know my students and create personalized lesson plans according to their needs. My ultimate goal with every student I teach, is not only to catch him/her up in schoolwork, but also get him/her ahead.
