Japanese with Satomi I.

I have been professionally teaching Japanese at the college level for almost 10 years. I have a Ph.D. in linguistics with a focus on Japanese pedagogy. I have taught all levels (beginners to advanced) and a variety of courses including conversational, grammar-focused, and discussion-based courses. My goal as an instructor is to help students acquire the skills they need and make learning enjoyable. Learning a foreign language is not easy, and can be time consuming, yet it is inspiring and fun. You will learn so much about Japanese culture by learning the language. In our first lesson we can discuss what you want to achieve from studying Japanese (e.g. studying for JLPT, travel phrases, job interview in Japanese) and decide what materials work best for you.
