· Drum · In studio Kolja is a wonderful teacher. He's very laid-back and easy-going and all around a very pleasant guy to get along with. He is also very willing to work with people in whatever desires they have for the drums. Don't get me wrong though, you're not goofing off during the lesson. He's very focused on teaching the drums well and wants to make sure you're solid in whatever it is you're learning. He has a good balance between patience and making sure you're not falling into bad habits by using poor technique repeatedly. No matter what skill level you're at, I'm positive that you have something to learn from Kolja.

· Drum · In studio Kolja is great! I've taken lessons for various instruments since I was young and never had as much fun as I do in drum lessons. He has a great energy and gives positive, constructive feedback. His years of experience as a drummer and instructor were immediately evident. I felt improvement even after the first week of practice! I appreciated that he took time to understand what I wanted out of drum lessons and how I prefer to learn. I have been wanting to start drumming for years and am so glad that I found Kolja!

· Drum · In studio I studied drums when I was younger and wanted to reacquaint myself with my long lost art. I am so happy I chose Kolja, He has this amazing joyful energy. He's an amazing drummer and can explain how to do it. Wow! He made me feel really comfortable from the get go. He was very thorough assessing my skill level, my goals and how much time I actually have to give to practicing. He is teaching me how to reread drum notation and really making sure I have the proper posture and holding the sticks correctly. I am very interested in jazz drumming and poly-rhythm. I think with him I will reach my goals. I'm slowly getting there. He is really good at explaining and showing. I think I really lucked out.

· Percussion · In home Kolja is an incredible percussionist/drummer with the kind of patience you have to have when teaching. I have some musical ability, but have never played the drums or any type of percussion. Kola has a very nurturing approach to teaching which makes learning both fun and challenging. I highly recommend him

· Drum · In studio The guy gives you all the information necessary for a professional drummer. Excellent approach! Discusses your current skills and takes it from there. Checks your coordination, your sticks/hands work and tells you what you need to work on; he gives you a demo how you can develop some basic ideas into real drumming. If you want to learn, improve and understand what and how you play, don't hesitate and just contact Kolja.

· · I was skeptic before taking lessons with Kolja but his patience and knowledge has really proven to be beneficial to me. I had low expectations of what I could achieve but now I jam with a couple of co workers a couple of times a month and we might even book a gig! I highly recommend studying with him.

· Drum · In studio Kolja is a superb teacher. He is sensitive to this adult learners needs and interests and tailors his instruction accordingly. He is patient and relaxed, yet focused. In addition to being productive, the time spent in lesson is genuine fun.
He can also perfectly explain and demonstrate the different styles of many jazz drum masters.
