    About Kirsten T.

    Hello! I love teaching music! I've been teaching middle school band for almost 20 years. I teach beginners through students in their fourth year of instruction. I have both a masters and a bachelors degree. I grew up and went to university playing woodwind instruments (flute, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon) and play trumpet everyday in my classroom. Each lesson should include some success, some challenge, some review, and clear instructions about what to practice until next week. I prepare students for individual satisfaction and to be prepared for band class. I aim for fun and keep lessons light and cheerful! No two lessons are ever the same. Give it a try! I've never met someone who told me they wished they had started learning music later.
