Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs

-Devised and delivered lessons in both one-on-one, small group and whole group settings, customizing instructional and therapeutic methodologies around the needs of diverse student populations. -Launched PAWS to Read program which uses certified therapy dogs to promote childhood literacy. -Developed community outreach program that uses animal assisted activities (AAA) to create comfortable, yet engaging environment for diverse student populations in public and specialized schools.

-Provided counseling to support and advise seventh through twelfth grade students in the realm of academic, social, emotional and personal growth primarily in the areas of goal setting, problem solving, and college and career planning to help empower each student to reach his/her fullest potential. -Facilitated groups for students to promote success, navigate life experiences and promote healthy realtionships. -Acquired extensive experience assisting non-native English speakers and their parents in assimilating to both school and community, accessing services and navigaing administrative processes and procedues.
