I am a licensed public-school Mathematics 7-12 Educator with 20+ years of experience in the classroom and private tutoring. I have been teaching full time in the private sector, but also work as a homebound instructor/substitute teacher for various high schools. Over this period, I have also taught summer school for various districts and served as an adjunct faculty member at Adelphi University. I have worked with elementary level students and adult learners as well and continue to do so as a substitute instructor in an adult learning center. I am extremely versatile in my pedagogical style and can successfully connect with a range of student abilities. Well-known for my patience, I can explain a concept in a variety of ways in order that it be understood. Approachable and friendly, I make students feel comfortable and safe, yet have high expectations for them. Highly energetic, hardworking, and dedicated, I strive to provide excellence in all I do for my students. It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my abilities to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, and intelligent educator.
