Hello!! Welcome to my profile. My name is Kimberley Smith and I am a Jamaican by birth. I speak Spanish as a second language (and currently practicing Korean as a third.) I am a language enthusiast and have been tutoring since 2016. While learning Spanish I had my fair share of boring lessons that felt as though they dragged on and on. I make sure that whenever I teach my students are well engaged in the lesson and that they learn a few Spanish culture fact every week! With me as your teacher you will stop saying "Spanish is hard ;-(" and say instead "Spanish is fun!! :-D". No matter how old or young you are you will feel comfortable as my student. I will answer all your questions and ensure that every single session we have together, you will leave with the confidence that you have learnt something new. I spent some time in Cuba and learnt a lot about Cuban culture and I communicated with ease with the Cuban nationals. I had only been in high school when I had that ability so trust me, If i could do it, you can do it too!! Expect to be motivated and encouraged to do your absolute best. I received distinguished awards during my course of study for excellence in Spanish. In the upcoming year I hope to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Spanish at the University of the West Indies - Ranked #5 in the Region. My personal passion (outside of languages of course) is serving in the health care industry, helping the less fortunate as a Medical doctor (I haven't completed studies for this as yet but I am working towards it).
