Elementary, Middle School, High SchoolMy style of teaching is very relaxed and informal, I want students to feel they can be equals with me, and gain confidence and be proud of their work. I set homework but I also encourage students to get creative in their own time and to show initiative! Reading is vital to growing your knowledge and also for confidence and speaking in public.
Lessons can involve looking at literature and different styles of writing, as well as finding something that sparks the imagination and interest. I work especially well with young teens and pre-teens, as well as those who are looking to further their reading skills.
I also look at Shakespeare and modern plays, as well as screenplays, theatre and poems. It's not just books!
About Kimberley E.
Hi there!
My name is Kimberley, and I'm a British singer/songwriter, and I love teaching young people about this amazing industry! I offer songwriting, singing and piano lessons, as well as writing and composition. My first rule is that there isn't any! Each student is unique and different, and my goal is to teach in a way that's fun and interesting and keeps people engaged.
I teach all ages, young and old, novice to experienced, and take great joy in meeting new people and getting to know them and helping them learn.
Coaching can take place at your home or we can sit outside in my apartment by the pool, we can even go to a park and sit in the sunshine! I'm really flexible and want this to work for you at your own pace to help you reach your own goals.
I received one of the highest marks ever in the country for Grade 8 piano when I was 14 years old and I haven't looked back! I've performed all over the world as a singer, and have always incorporated my piano as much as I can. I have had a joint number one in the UK, as well as other singles in the charts and have done arena tours throughout the UK and Europe. I have masses of performance experience and a lot of industry contacts as well.
Get in touch and we'll go from there! I'm excited to meet you and chat about what you want to achieve.

Great lesson, thanks Kimberly!

Kim was absolutely lovely!

Very kind and patient, and inspiring!

My daughter had a blast during the lesson can’t wait until next time.

Kimberley's energy is great. My son absolutely loves and looks forward to his piano lessons.

I love Kimberley! She’s no longer just an instructor, she instantly became my friend. It’s so convenient for her to come to my home. Within weeks we saw major progress with my vocal training and I am able to sing at a high range. She personalizes the lessons to really cater to what needs strengthening. I love her and plan on continuing with my lessons with her for a long time.

Kimberly is great and came in of disappointment...she is a great

Was a fantastic teacher and very easy to talk to and learn from!

I am so happy to have gained a better mastery of my own voice. I cant thank you enough for your positive attitude and insight on how I can become a better musician.

I love learning piano with Kimberly and I always look forward to her lessons. I thought piano would be really hard but she explains things really easily and I always feel I can ask any question and get an easily explained answer. Would reccomend her to anyone who is looking to learn piano and get a fun teacher.

Great ear and feel for music in multiple styles. Offers fantastic suggestions. Will definitely improve your playing. Also, very fun to chat with.

Kimberly is awesome! She made me feel totally at ease and comfortable and gave me so many useful tips on how to strengthen my ability as a pianist. I'd been with a different instructor previously and Kimberly's approach was so refreshing. She talks a lot about how to get the best from each piece of music, explained a lot about how a piano actually works (has anyone ever looked inside before?!?!), and also helped with my technique, which was sadly lacking. Reading music has always been a struggle for me but we have been working on that and I'm now getting to grips with it. Thank you!!!

Wow what can I say?
Aside from being the most beautiful and talented lady I have ever met Kimberley is also the most patient, wonderful and knowledgeable teacher anyone could ever ask for. There is no end to her talents and I simply cannot speak highly enough about her. I have learned so much from her and I highly, highly recommend her services.

Kimberley was so sweet and full of meaningful tips that strengthened my piano and songwriting skills. Her lesson was relevant and fun, I was never passionate about music theory (over the years I've taken a more free spirited approach to creating music, by ear) and somehow I was engaged and the time flew. She goes above and beyond to help her students, she is helping me find the most helpful books for my goals as well as learning material to keep me engaged. Great teacher!

Songwriting Experience
Jan 2010 - PresentKimberley Coaching
I have been singing since I was 10 years old and have written and co-written hundreds of songs, for myself and for other artists, including Eurovision entries and charting tracks. I am currently on my second album, having gained a fantastic social media following of over 150,000 and have charted twice in the UK singles charts. I've taught a lot of young people in the UK since 2010 and since songwriting I believe is vital to being taken seriously as an artist, I wouldn't be in the position I am today without great guidance! My methods vary from person to person as I like to find out their individual goals and go from there, but I usually take the first lesson to get to know them and find out their strengths and weaknesses, and work on a lesson plan that helps them as well as having fun. Songwriting is an art like no other, and I teach everyone, young, old, singers and non-singers! You don't have to be a great singer to be a great songwriter, and some of the best lyricists in the world are totally tone-deaf! It's all about finding your own personal preference and the style of music you like to write in.
Vocal Experience
Jan 2010 - PresentKimberley Coaching
I have been singing since I was 10 years old and since I started professionally at 14, I've performed in over 15 different countries around the world and done arena tours and festivals. Vocal training is extremely important for a singer, even the most experienced artists have vocal coaches their entire lives. I've been teaching young people to sing since 2010 and I'm very keen to continue to see them all grow as artists! My methods vary from person to person as I like to find out their individual goals and go from there, but I usually take the first lesson to get to know them and find out their strengths and weaknesses, and work on a lesson plan that helps them as well as having fun.
Piano Experience
Jan 2010 - PresentKimberley Coaching
I have been playing piano since I was 6 years old and I was awarded one of the highest marks in Grade 8 piano in the country when I was 14, (142 out of 150) and won lots of awards in national competitions. I stopped competing when I was 18, but I have performed all over the world as a musician and singer. My methods vary from person to person as I like to find out their individual goals and go from there, but I usually take the first lesson to get to know them and find out their strengths and weaknesses, and work on a lesson plan that helps them as well as having fun. Coaching is based on a classical piano method - starting with scales and technique for the first 1/2 hr and then for the last 30mins moving onto a piece of music, but we can switch things up if you like!
Writing and Reading Experience
Jan 2010 - PresentKimberley Coaching
Teaching creative writing and reading is one of my greatest passions (other than music!) It's simply a joy to have students who excel after struggling with transferring their imagination to the written word! I've had a book published with a national publisher in the UK and have written for a multi-national newspaper, as well as of course songwriting for many well known artists. I also got A grades right up until I finished college with English and Creative Writing. I have also done multiple speaking engagements and helped many students to overcome their shyness of reading and speaking in public. My style of teaching is very relaxed and informal, I want students to feel they can be equals with me, and gain confidence and be proud of their work. I set homework but I also encourage students to get creative in their own time and to show initiative! The most rewarding thing is that with writing, you can nowadays find so many outlets for your work - the sky's the limit! I use multiple outlets, including not just traditional literature but also Shakespeare, poems, screenplays, theatre and modern books as well as non-fiction. I work especially well with pre-teens and young teenagers who may be struggling with a more rigid school environment.
