My philosophy derives not only from the specifics of learning an
instrument, but also from the life lessons that music can bring to a child. The child can learn how dedication, perseverance, and self-awareness can result in beautiful music and a more colorful life.

Kim Busic is a violinist, violist, cellist, and educator from Libertyville, Illinois. She holds a BM in Music Performance, cum laude, from Butler University. At Butler, she studied violin under Larry Shapiro as well as viola with Richard Auldon Clark and cello with Dr. William Grubb. She recently completed her MM in Violin Performance from Boston Conservatory at Berklee, studying violin under Sharan Leventhal. She has performed throughout the United States, Italy, Slovenia, and Austria in orchestra and chamber groups. An avid educator, she has taught private, group, and orchestra classes with students ranging in age 5-adult.
