I am absolutely in love with teaching Spanish. My major in college was Spanish, with a concentration in Education. I studied in Spain for a semester during school and became truly fluent in the language. After college, I went on to teach high school Spanish. I taught basic levels and advanced levels. Next, I worked at a private school where I taught all grades from Kindergarten - 8th grade. During this time I also held a weekend class where I taught basic level Spanish to adults.
I am passionate about helping others learn and the curriculum that I use is made up of several resources that I have accumulated over the years. I am always learning more and exciting ways to teach and I am looking forward to helping reach your goals with Español!
Taught Spanish to grades K - 8th. I created my own curriculum and lesson plans by using multiple resources. During the hours that I was not teaching, I spent time tutoring students individually.
Taught basic and advanced level Spanish to working adults during a weekend class. I created my own curriculum and planned community trips/events that allowed the class members to practice conversations in Spanish.
I briefly taught as a long-term substitute teacher to several different classes at different levels of Spanish. One of these classes included an advanced college-level Spanish course.
I was a long-term substitute teacher and taught Spanish to all four high school grades. I collaborated with the other Spanish teacher to create lessons and taught a beginners' class as well as an intermediate class.
