Math with Kevin Y.

I am a certified math teacher with a Bachelor's degree in mathematics and education and a Masters in teaching and learning. I love teaching because I enjoy helping others understand a really fun and challenging subject. Besides math, I piloted a programming course in Python and love teaching students to code. When I'm not working, I love hanging out with my family (I have 4 kids), coding, sports, and learning new things. In my own classroom I try to make school about learning, which means no grades, not worrying about mistakes, but learning from them and the pursuit of deep understanding and not simple memorization. I believe we all learn at our own pace and it is important not to move on to a new topic until we master the one we are currently working on. I will work hard to help make sure you understand the math you are studying so you can apply what you know to new problems.
