Guitar shouldn't just be something to practice, and study. It should also be fun, and a way to communicate your own musical voice. I am a lead/rhythm guitarist that has been playing for over 30 years. I studied at the Berklee College of Music where I obtained my degree in Jazz Composition. In Minneapolis Minnesota, I played several Jazz gigs with session musicians that have played for Prince, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Chaka Khan, and more. In between playing guitar gigs, I taught at the School of Rock in two Minnesota locations where I educated hundreds of students of all ages, and skill levels.
Along with this, I also score music for film and most of my musical ideas start with my guitar. I spent two years in Seattle Washington working in the film industry, and also teaching in the School of Rock.
If "music theory" seems like something that is intimidating when applying to guitar, I have created a method to gain an understanding that you will grasp immediately. My lesson audio will be very clear with my professional audio engineering background, and all my materials supplied will be very legible and useful when practicing.
I was a guitar instructor in Seattle Washington where I taught music theory, technique, and several rock cover songs.
Guitar instructor for all skill levels. I taught music theory, technique, and tons of cover songs.
This was my first job as a guitar instructor. I taught basic music theory, technique, and cover songs.
