I am a Biology student at Texas Southern University with a minor in music. I am a band leader, singer, songwriter, percussionist, bassist and guitarist. I have been a contract music teacher for over 10 years. I have taught music in various schools from 1st grade to high school in the Houston Independent School District, Spring Branch Independent School District and several charter schools throughout the Greater Houston Area. I have instructed and led large guitar ensembles 25+, percussion ensembles, a pop/ rock/ stage band, an elementary school choir, one on one private lessons, etc. I have designed curriculum and written lesson plans. *** Lesson Details *** Fun lessons based on your personal favorite songs and music. You'll be exposed to and learn different styles of popular music. After a few months and a personal commitment to practice, students will have a thorough understanding of the musical instrument they are studying and how to sight read.
